Rehearsing Wholeness: A Pre-Surgery Reflection

Reflections from the Sacred Ordinary — by Mark E. Hanze

“Love guides the hands that heal me. Awareness carries me home.” 🕊️
I enter this moment in awareness. My body knows what to do. My heart knows how to heal. My spirit knows it is already whole. Every person I meet on this journey — surgeon, nurse, aide, friend, family — is part of the same great network of care and divine intelligence. Together, we are instruments of love. I honor the path that brought me here. Every struggle, every lesson, every tear has refined me into readiness. I am not walking into surgery alone — I am walking with the presence of all who love me, and all I have ever loved. I surrender control, but not intention. I choose trust. I choose faith in the unseen. I choose the quiet knowing that healing begins with allowing. May this operation be guided by precision and grace. May each cell respond in harmony. May I awaken renewed — whole in body, spirit, and purpose. I am the witness and the healing. I am the breath moving through it all. 🕊️ *Love guides the hands that heal me. Awareness carries me home.*
